This standard size 40 embroidery thread is ideal for most designs. Made from 100% viscose rayon, it is the choice for embroidery on high speed multi-head machines as well as industrial sewing machines. Classic No. 40…known worldwide for high tensile strength and excellent glossy luster.
For best results use a #65/9 or #75/11 needle.

Polyneon
Polyneon 40
Madeira’s 100% polyester embroidery thread, Polyneon, is made and constructed in Germany using a specially developed raw material and specially designed draw winding method designed by Madeira, which eliminates looping, puckering and virtually all thread breaks. Vibrant colours are glossy, as well as resistant to chlorine bleach, making Polyneon the ideal thread for embroidering on uniforms, safety garments and commercial linens. Available in 359 colours, which include bright fluorescents and multi-shades.
For best results use a #75/11 needle.

FIRE FIGHTER No.40 is a flame and heat resistant embroidery thread which is indispensable to motor sport clothing, workwear and protective clothing. FIRE FIGHTER No.40 is also used to embroider seat cushions of airplanes and wherever special safety aspects are essential.
FIRE FIGHTER complies with ISO standards ISO-6941 / ISO 15025 and is available in 24 rich and popular colours. Resulting in confidence and power for the sponsors.
When using FIRE FIGHTER, don´t forget to ensure the bobbin thread is also flame retardant: MADEIRA´s special 100% Aramid bobbin thread.

Our popular FS Metallics feature a strong textured polyester filament core with a metallized polyester foil wrap. Madeira offers FS Metallics in 50, 45, 40, 35, 30, 20 and 15 weights for high speed embroidery and decorative sewing. At Tajima Australia we only stock No. 20, No. 30 and No. 40.
FS #40 is designed for use on the most challenging materials. The combination of a razor-thin Polyamide core and it’s twist construction produces top quality and reliable working properties. FS #30 is the most abrasion resistant metallic thread in the industry. A true specialty thread developed for outdoor exposure, stone washing, chlorine and bleaching, plus harsh laundering at temperatures up to 203°F. FS #20 is an elegant soft metallic thread made from velvety spun rayon wrapped by an extra fine metallised foil. It is exceptionally gentle to the skin.
Supertwist
SUPERTWIST #30 weight is a twisted metallic thread. The triple applied twisting process gives designs a unique textured effect and dimension. The strong nylon core and genuine metallic base enhances both it’s sewability and appearance on many application. The Opal and Crystal colours are denim-wash resistant. It is Oeko-Tex® certified.
For best results… Use a #90/14 Instructions for Normal Washing of Embroidered Garments Items embroidered with SUPERTWIST are best washed with mild detergent at 104°F. The excellent quality and colour fastness of SUPERTWIST allow a washing up to 140°F

Luna Glow in the Dark

#40 weight embroidery thread. Available in white only. Embroidery glows in the dark as LUNA stores the light and then emits a luminous green in the dark. The luminous power of the thread depends on the intensity of the light. A new technology makes LUNA glow in the dark, time after time and much longer than other glow in the dark threads. Thanks to it’s composition, LUNA is soft and kind to the skin and it can be used in designs digitized for 40 weight thread. It is wash resistant…LUNA is for novelty use ONLY. It is NOT rated for safety garments. It is Oeko-Tex® certified.

AeroQuilt and Aerolock
AeroQuilt and Aerolock Threads.
Get the look and feel of fine cotton with the strength of polyester. AeroQuilt and Aerolock are top quality corespun threads which are 30-40% stronger than a spun polyester thread the same size. AeroQuilt has the cotton finish quilters love, plus the strength to stand up to high speed longarm machines. With AeroQuilt and Aerolock you obtain neat and longlasting seams. They guarantee longevity even if the seam is frequently washed and heavily strained. AeroQuilt and Aerolock are sturdy and work perfectly on all sewing machines, sergers and quilting machines including longarm.

Burmilana
BURMILANA is a specialty embroidery thread which has the characteristics and appearance of wool, giving a hand-crafted look. It is particularly suitable for stitching onto knitwear and looks beautiful as a chenille, loop pile or chain stitch embroideries. For fashion, knitted goods, ethnic, country style or traditional folk costumes, embroidery with BURMILANA completes the ‘wool on wool’ natural effect.
Special Considerations: Please ensure the design is specially digitised taking into consideration the additional coverage and reduction in stitch count generated by the thickness and texture of BURMILANA.
50% wool/50% acrylic.
BURMILANA NO.12 – Available in 1000mt cops, Art No.813. 135 single colours, 12 melange-colours.
BURMILANA CO – Available in the same thread count as BURMILANA 12, but is a cotton acrylic blend – this makes it the perfect complement to the famous wool blend. Very soft and cool due to the high cotton content, the perfect alternative for a fresh and summery look.
All 72 colours are certified according to Oeko-tex Standard 100 Class 1 (Baby-Standard!).BURMILANA CO is, of course, also ideal for decorative seams, Chenille embroidery and chain stitch. Composition: 50% cotton/50% acrylic

Burmilon Bobbin
ThreadBurmilon 200 is an extremely fine underthread which means minimum spool changes are required. Please note, for optimum performance, adjustments to the machine may be necessary.
